A Typical Night

Anchor Club will be meeting on Wednesday evenings during the school year. The club night is divided into three segments:

Check-In Time: Begins at 6:30 pm and goes until assembly time

Assembly Time: Club begins at 6:45 pm with Greetings, pledges, and announcements

Game Quarters: And exciting time of games and fun begins at 6:55 pm. Children are grouped in teams for competition, to earn points for the nightly winner.

Bible Quarters: At 7:15 pm there will be a period of Bible memory and learning about Jesus and how we can live a wonderful life the way God intended. Children work through individual lesson sheets (links) to aid in memorization and bring understanding of biblical truths down to their level. As children progress in their links they are awarded at that time, as well as at the end of the year at the annual Awards Night service.

Captain’s Call: At 7:40 pm there will be singing and Bible stories. Object lessons, skits, and awards are just some of the fun things we do during this time.

Closing time: Club will end at approximately 8:00 pm. The club runs in conjunction with the Wednesday evening Mid-Week service

Each night has a team winner. The nightly prize might be a special treat or possibly Anchor Bucks to spend at the Anchor store later in the year.
